Can hypnotherapy be used as an alternative treatment for Multiple Sclerosis? What does hypnotherapy for MS treat in multiple sclerosis? Is this evidence-based science?
Research in Hypnotherapy for MS
When I began to take an interest in using hypnotherapy and neurolinguistic programming (NLP) as an alternative treatment for Multiple Sclerosis (MS), I found very little research on using these modalities with MS. What little research I did find focuses on pain management alone. Since then I have been dedicated to researching, understanding and designing the most effective alternative treatment for multiple sclerosis using the power of hypnotherapy and NLP.
Beyond Symptom Management – A New Alternative Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis
What you will find on this site stretches the use of these modalities beyond symptom management. We’ll uncover and understand why hypnotherapy and NLP can be so useful in improving symptoms of MS by using (1) the power of the mind and (2) by addressing the underlying cause. This site shares research that supports the mind-body connection and on addressing the underlying cause.
1. The Power of the Mind to Healing Multiple Sclerosis
This site covers the relationship between the mind and body and how one thinks, believes, and behaviors or what I will refer to as the mental patterns of multiple sclerosis can affect the progression of the disease. And the research in psychoneuroimmunology and epigenetics that helps to understand the mind-body connection and the influence of our mind, and hypnotherapy for MS, can influence the immune system and your body.
2. Addressing the Deeper Cause of Multiple Sclerosis
This site will help you to gain an understanding of how symptoms are affected by beliefs, emotions, stress, and anxiety, mental patterns of MS. And the psychosocial research that links mental patterns, emotional components and psychosocial factors to the onset and exacerbation of MS.
Successful Hypnotherapy for MS
On this site you’ll be able to read some of the most successful cases of using hypnotherapy to address MS. You’ll also get detailed information on my study with 24 volunteers diagnosed with MS that produced significant improvements in both the physical as well as psychological symptoms related to multiple sclerosis. All these cases used hypnotherapy and neurolinguistic programming (NLP) for MS as the primary therapeutic modality.
“(Eva) used multiple mind-body techniques including guided imagery, visualizations, meditation, individualized tapes and various NLP therapies to help me gain a new awareness.
With thoughtful questions she took me inward so I could find my own answers. As we re-examined my most painful life experiences I learned that they could be seen as wonderful learning
opportunities. The answers were there inside me, I just needed help finding the key to unlock them. Eva’s use of NLP gave me that.
I shared, I listened, I learned. Then I went home and practiced and practiced it all again.
I learned how to stare stress straight in the face and deal with it instead of pretending everything was ok. After 5 months I started to feel different, more hopeful. I felt I had a purpose, I felt strong. I felt a tremendous gratitude for all the wonderful things that had gone right in my life. MS was not so large anymore.”
This experience created the MS Personality Test to understand the psychosocial factors that might have contributed to the onset and the progression of your MS as well as the specific protocol of hypnotherapy for MS – Multiple Sclerosis Hypnotherapy Program – to work through those factors and create lasting health.
Creating health is about actively addressing the factors that could be contributing to your multiple sclerosis. (both mental and physical, nothing is left behind). We are creating the Creating Health Series to support you with both.
A New Alternative Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis
This alternative treatment for multiple sclerosis, the Healing Multiple Sclerosis Program, is designed to help you gain insight into your mental patterns behind your symptoms and tools to transform those patterns and help restore health.
This treatment is not a substitute for proper western medicine (disclaimer), but a much-needed addition to anyone’s treatment plan so that the psycho-social factors and not just the biological factors are addressed.
